Local Thunder® to Demonstrate Local Online Shopping Platform at Radio Advertising Bureau 2007 Sales Conference
PORTLAND, Maine, Jan 23, 2007 — Local Thunder announced toady that it will participate in The Radio Advertising Bureau's 2007 Managing Sales Conference (Booth # 15), taking place February 8 - 11 at Hyatt Regency Reunion Tower in Dallas, Texas. During the conference, Local Thunder will demonstrate its turnkey platform for creating local online shopping environments. Through rich-content display ads, e-commerce capabilities, and opt-in email campaigns, the Local Thunder platform helps radio stations drive new business through high-impact multi-media campaigns.
Local Thunder and SAGA Communications Present Joint Workshop: A Road Map for Internet Ad Sales
In addition to exhibiting, Local Thunder has been invited by the RAB to present a workshop aimed at helping radio station sales managers monetize the Internet. The workshop-entitled A Road Map for Internet Ad Sales-is geared towards station sales managers in the early stages of multi-platform selling. The presentation will cover critical success factors, including selling the initial concept, establishing the right selling team, attracting advertisers, and creating traffic-building promotions.
The session will be co-presented by Marie Sola, Affiliate Account Manager for Local Thunder, and Larry Downes, Corporate Director of Integrated Media for SAGA Communications. SAGA recently announced that it has chosen Local Thunder as its preferred provider for local online shopping environments. The workshop is scheduled for Friday, February 9th, from 3:45-5:00 PM.
